Correction of error in last night's post
Hi Friends,
Mea culpa . . . somehow I did not catch an error in last night's post – "Genesis" – until it was too late. I mentioned the holiday of Sukkot, when what I meant to write was Simchat Torah – the culmination of Sukkot, but still considered a different holiday. Simchat Torah is the special day when the Torah scroll is unrolled, and the new cycle of weekly readings begins. The name means "the joy of Torah", for that is what it is – a happy, musical evening of literally dancing with the scrolls. I love this holiday and all that it stands for!
Apologies for my mistake. See you next week!
